NxFilter as a DHCP server
As of version 4.7.2.2, NxFilter includes a built-in DHCP server, allowing you to assign IP addresses automatically
without using a separate DHCP device.
The DHCP server must be bound to a single IP address, and that IP address must be associated with a wired network interface.
Why We Built It
Many users rely on routers provided by their ISP, especially in home or small business networks.
We've found that some of these ISP provided routers force their own DNS settings through DHCP and do not allow users to change the DNS server configuration.
As a result, some users have difficulty directing their network's DNS traffic to NxFilter.
To solve this, we developed and integrated our own DHCP server into NxFilter.
